Great news: The Breckenridge and Summit County real estate market continues to show improvement for this year. According to Slifer Smith and Frampton Real Estate’s report, the transaction volume and average sales price of homes have steadily increased from 2012 and 2013 prices. Homesites however, are still at a lower average sale price than 2010-2013 prices and are on the market for a longer time period before selling.
What does this mean? We think this presents an ideal opportunity for those who are looking to build a custom home in the mountains. It’s an opportunity to shop for a great lot at a highly competitive price. Also, construction costs are still lower than pre-2008 prices so it’s an ideal time to build. If the market trends continue, your dream home in the mountains could become a wise investment in the future.
